Flower sprays with cross swords and star in underglaze blue to the underside, rased on a tripartite. Scrolled support terminating on paw feet, stamped "Picard Fres" under foot.

Height overall 11 3/4 inch, 29.8 cm. The fondeur and doreur Henri Picard was based in Paris from 1831 to 1864. The firm supplied services for work on the apartments of Emperor Napoleon III, now in the Louvre.
